Had an incredible experience at Kwelanga Mini Home, and I highly recommend it. This secluded retreat offers stunning views, tranquility, and impeccable attention to detail. From the warm welcome with eggs, milk, and a Nespresso machine to thoughtful touches like firewood, and even plasters and Dettol in the bathroom, the hosts have truly thought of everything. To make our anniversary special, the owners surprised us with complimentary champagne, demonstrating their exceptional hospitality. The fully equipped kitchen, spacious layout, and a supremely comfortable bed make this place a dream. The property manager, Alice, goes above and beyond to ensure guests have a fantastic time. Her friendliness and attentiveness truly stand out. The private hot tub with its mesmerizing view was the perfect spot for relaxation, creating a peaceful weekend. What sets this place apart is that it's pet-friendly, and my dog had a blast. Plus, no load shedding. Honoured to be the first guests!

We had an unforgettable stay at this extraordinary place, which is managed by Alice, the most accommodating and friendly manager you can imagine. Unfortunately, a puzzling incident occurred during our visit: the hot tub unexpectedly caught fire in the night, a couple of hours after we had used it. We were deeply concerned about the incident and cooperated fully with the manager who was with us at the time. We assured the owners of our non-involvement, and yet we find ourselves facing accusations of responsibility. We have sought clarification as to why we are being implicated but have not received a clear explanation. We are currently working with Airbnb to resolve this matter. While this situation has unfortunately marred our experience, the property itself is truly stunning and worth noting for its beauty and comfort.

It was so beautiful! We enjoyed the scenery and it felt secluded and peaceful. The hot tub was really wonderful. Unfortunately we didn't have hot water in the shower (a temporary problem with the water heating system, and luckily we had the hot tub as a backup) and the compost toilet took some getting used to. Otherwise an all-round enjoyable stay at a gorgeous location with very friendly hosts.

We had a wonderful anniversary weekend as the area is quiet & beautiful. However, we felt Kwelanga was overpriced compared to other glamping experiences we have had locally. The facilities need some love, care & general maintenance. The owners need to be more hands on as this space has so much potential. For the price charged, our expectations were sadly not met.
